John R. Nordlund, M.D., PhD

John R. Nordlund, M.D., Ph.D. is a former University of Virginia School of Medicine Faculty Member who has fellowship training in Medical Retina from the Mayo Clinic and Glaucoma from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Dr. Nordlund came to Williamsburg to open his practice in 2005 and recently joined Mid-Atlantic Eyecare in May of 2022.

Dr. Nordlund is a Board-Certified ophthalmologist who specializes in Medical Retina, with particular emphasis on retinal vascular diseases, such as diabetes, macular degeneration, retinal artery, and retinal vein occlusions.

Dr. Nordlund enjoys cooking and likes to spend his free time biking, boating, and taking photos in his free time.
